Every Kid in a Park welcomes 4th graders
National Parks free for a year
Federally managed sites in the Hudson Valley invite all fourth graders to visit free as part of the Every Kid in a Park program. Students may go in person to any NPS site or to www.everykidinapark.gov, complete an activity, and obtain a pass good through August 31, 2017.
Passes allow the student and his/her family free entry to more than 2,000 federal recreation areas, including national parks, across the country.
In addition, New York State Parks will accept Every-Kid-in-a Park passes in lieu of vehicle entry fees if the fourth grader is in the vehicle. The pass also will be accepted for admission to state historic sites for the pass holder and up to three adults.
