This is the first museum of two that will be visited during the year. The museum had a special exhibition of over 100 paintings depicting Nature and the American Vision (check current exhibitions at (www.nyhistory.org). This compelling story is told in a series of ten themes drawing from the Society's extraordinary American art collection. The theme explored was landscape imagery as a powerful narrative device embodying the American ideas about nature and culture.
