This field trip provides students with a hands-on experience of what it was like to be a child in the Munsee nation. Students grind corn into flower, dress in Native American clothing, explore a longhouse, and play Native American games. The goal is to illustrate the connection that the first citizens of the Hudson Valley had to the land, the river, and the forests.
