| Explore Awards for 2009-10 |
New priorities. More awards. We are unable to accept applications until further notice. (2/1/2010).In these times, school budgets are all about frugality. To help ensure that kids and teachers get out and about during the Hudson-Fulton-Champlain Quadricentennial, Because Explore Awards are smaller than our traditional curriculum development grants, we are making many more awards and, for the first time, after-school and summer programs, as well as public and private schools, are eligible to apply. Explore Awards are intended mainly to help cover transportation and site admissions. ![]() As always, applicants must be located within the federally-designated Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area: Applicants still need to make connections between the trip and their core curriculum or program, but are not required to submit activity or lesson plans. Applicants should plan to attend THV's summer institute, July 27-29, 2010, in Hyde Park. Please see Guidelines for details and to download the short application form. |
