The Albany Institute of History & Art (AIHA) has something for everyone, and you can see for yourself if you sign up for Bringing Albany to Your Classroom, one of five field experience options during THV's upcoming institute, Reading, Writing, and Thinking the Hudson Valley. What: One of the oldest museums in the U.S. with the best collection documenting life in the Upper Hudson Valley from the 17th century to present. Summer is a great time to visit -- with great weekend deals in July and August, plus art activities, camps, and lectures. AIHA also houses a library and a very active education department.

Programs for Students: From hands-on art instruction to New York people and places, local art history to women’s suffrage, colonial America to ancient Egypt, and more!
