Got lesson plans or activities already developed? Want to keep your own format?
With our short form, you can skip a few steps while helping us maintain consistency and quality. Your lessons will also be searchable. (View the short form template and the standard lesson template.)
The short form starts with a one-page overview, including:

- Destination
- Subject(s)
- Grade(s)
Everything else can be attached as a file or link.
Your attachment or link must have:
- A step-by-step description for carrying out the lesson or activity.
- What students should know and be able to do at the end of the lesson.
- Vocabulary listand supplies, if needed.
- Suggested time frame.
It's also a good idea if your plan has:
- Essential questions or a comparable framework.
- Relevant NYS standards.
- Professional development/in-service, if appropriate. For instance, if you met with experts, brought in a guest speaker or artist, attended a workshop, or engaged in other activities to prepare for teaching the lesson or activity, please describe it and provide appropriate contact information.
