Short Form Lesson/Activity Option

Got lesson plans or activities already developed? Want to keep your own format?

With our short form, you can skip a few steps while helping us maintain consistency and quality.  Your lessons will also be searchable. (View the
short form template and the standard lesson template.)

The short form starts with a one-page overview, including:
  • Unit and lesson/activity plan names
  • Author -- a real person, not a screen name
  • Destination
  • Subject(s)
  • Grade(s)
Everything else can be attached as a file or link.

Your attachment or link must have:
  • A step-by-step description for carrying out the lesson or activity.
  • What students should know and be able to do at the end of the lesson.
  • Vocabulary listand supplies, if needed.
  • Suggested time frame.

It's also a good idea if your plan has:

  • Essential questions or a comparable framework.
  • Relevant NYS standards.
  • Professional development/in-service, if appropriate. For instance, if you met with experts, brought in a guest speaker or artist, attended a workshop, or engaged in other activities to prepare for teaching the lesson or activity, please describe it and provide appropriate contact information.
  • How you assess student learning. Attach any rubrics, tasks, or other materials you've created for this purpose.
If your lessons or activities meet these criteria, This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it   us with any questions you have or to request access to the short form.
